Importing and Exporting Class at UNF

10-Nov-2010 The US/Florida - Brazil Business and Entrepreneurship Training Program offered at UNF on December 13-15, 2010, grant-funded by Workforce Florida.

The program is designed to:

• Execute a US/Florida - Brazil Entrepreneurship and Business Training Program and have a minimum of 100 business owners and/or employees of export or other businesses trained.
• Develop a certification process that is recognized by supply chain and logistics industry and the international trade community.
• Develop and enhance existing business relationships and resource materials to assist in business leads and track new business growth.
• Increase supply chain and logistics jobs.
• Increase business start-ups and networking opportunities.
• Increase trade lanes and container traffic through the regional Florida ports.
• Create new partner opportunities for the manufacturers and supply chain companies in Florida.

Florida is the only state in the nation that has 14 international deepwater seaports and according to 2008 trade statistics provided by Enterprise Florida, Inc., Florida’s exports to Brazil surpassed $15 billion a nearly 25% increase since the release of the 2006 figures.
